Looks like my Vegas trip for 2009 is off... :-(

Sad news looks like we will be pulling the plug on our trip to the States scheduled for November this year...

So no SEMA Show, LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER, LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, USA for us this year...

The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world (PLEASE NOTE: THE SEMA SHOW IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC). It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. As part of the AAIW, the SEMA Show attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from over 100 countries for unlimited profit opportunities in the automotive, truck and SUV, and RV markets. SEMA Show 2008 drew over 50,000 domestic and international buyers through two million square feet of exhibits. The displays are segmented into 12 sections, and a New Products Showcase featured nearly 2,000 newly introduced parts, tools and components. In addition, the SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities and more…

Rather gona concentrate on pushing some product:

and hopefully will make next years show...

Fri, 16 March 07 - My last week in Denver

Hello

For my last week in Denver I've been doing the Tourista thing and exploring the local sights and sounds... So far I've done the HistoryMuseum of Denver - very cool look at the native indians - settlers and other artifacts, Denver University toured the campus like a student – dropped by six flags Elitch Gardens Theme Park they only open in a few weeks so I couldnt get inside and onto the rollercoasters – seen most of the historic land marks… Rode the rail down to the Lincoln County Line... Still want to take the historic guided tour up to the foot hills & see the buffalo bill museum maybe tomorrow if the weather improves.

Enjoy the pics:

Monday, March 05, 2007 - Weekend in Miami

Hi Guys
.
Just got back from Miami during the early hours of Monday morning… We got up at 4:30am Friday morning to what was a fab weekend and an experience to remember… The views and beaches in Miami are breathtaking and beautiful… Although it does remind me of a safer Durban. We stayed at the Miami Beach Resort and Spa. On a side note I realized just how lucky we were to experience the Wild Coast Sun when we were younger – it truly was a world class resort… Anyway back to the trip well after an enjoyable journey to Miami North beach we concluded our afternoon festivities to focus on IQ’s execution equation which helps businesses execute their strategies followed nice beeg dinner…
After the evening Festivities and diner - we started the weekend of with a blast about twenty of us hopped into a streched Hummer Limo and headed off to shore club where one of our young blond socialites had graciously arrange to get us onto the guest list for an awesome introduction to the Miami night life and vibe…

We started Saturday off with a big breafast and I look a long stroll down the board walk followed by a bit of volley ball with the team... We all met up for an evening of fun on South beach followed by dinner at an exclusive restuarant Barton G's the food was very arty and the guys had a blast that in itself was quite an experiace to behold. We spent quite a bit of time hanging out at the real "Mango's" it was one of my favourite spots...

Most of Sunday was spent on south beach which was very laid back and spectacular at the same time... All the sunday rides were out and about cruising Ocean Drive...

All in all a fantasic weekend - i will post some more pics just as soon as I get them from the guys...

Monday, February 19, 2007 “Another great week in Denver”

Heyal

It was cold and snowed most of the week luckily the weekend took a turn for the better… I managed to find a few good malls here pretty far from the city but felt a bit like home… Also got to watch Ghost Rider cool movie…

We went to club Saturday night “VINYL” awesome club possibly the best I’ve ever been to 4 big dance floors, chill areas and lounges a couple of pool tables the place is massive we got adopted into a Mardi Gras fancy dress party for most of the night on the top floor and all I can say is that the chicks are wild here, eish and they drink like fish also… We ended in the basement underground dance floor after midnight real gangstar vibe. funny thing is I haven't seen a fight in a club here yet and we've been out a lot - maybe because its mostly girls :) no charo's too?

12 February 2007 07:26 PM "My First week in the States"

Howdy Guys

Yeah my first week in the States has been great. I stayed at the Magnolia Hotel – nice very old fashion ambience, bed and continental breakfast… We work from a Virtual Office environment and I only had a few things to sort out for the first week like my Drug Test and some paperwork, So I got to spend most of it checking out Denver and doing some shopping. Traveled on the light rail system – got a good view of the Rockies. Downtown Denver has this long street they call Mall street or 16th Street Mall because they don't really have big malls like us instead they have this even longer street with free busses that run from end to end with shops all along it… (Otherwise they have Home Depots like Makro but a couple times the size) There's quite a young vibrant IQ crowd here in Denver and they go out often. Friday night we did a bit of club hopping and ended up at this club called "The Church" Get this the club is an old church complete with murals – historic windows and everything 5 dance floors etc, Wicked! (That's all I'm gona say!).

Saturday I moved into my new apartment – was a bit worried when I saw the building thought they stuck me in a dump from the outside its an old Historic Building built in the 1800s: When I got inside I was totally impressed it is massive fully furnished with all the modern conveniences – Climate Control, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher… It's even got a steam room shower. J Saturday night we went to Monster Jam at the Pepsi Center it was wild all the world famous Monster trucks doing their thing… Afterwards we went to this club called Monark – very very cool, I have never seen so many pretty women in one place before and this place was like 70% women… Clubbing in Denver is very cosmopolitan and there are night spots all over the place – Its like a Party Hub people come from all over to Down Town Denver to stay the weekend Party and go skiing near the Rocky Mountains… I can only imagine what its gona be like in the summer when it gets warmer. Well it's been a fun introduction to this friendly City especially since the weather has been good mostly sunny with no snow, start doing some work this week and looks like it may snow this week. Will keep in touch…

Cheers Sal
